Keeping up with the Jones' (Like you haven't heard that before) | Boise Family Photographer

Alright, let me break it down for you all. This INCREDIBLE family happened to be strolling along at the Kids Fair back in February, and they saw Yan Photography's super awesome =)  booth. Tessa said she NEVER enters free drawings, but she was drawn to my pictures (yay!!!) 200 entries later, and these guys were drawn at random! What, you don't believe me? Just because they look like some GORGEOUS family I would have hand picked? Yeah, I know. But, I'm honest I tell you. I've been making poor Tessa wait ALL week for her sneak peek, so without any further commentary, here it is!

sam and millie, sheesh. i adore you two little crazy people. looking through your pictures to pick a preview was TORTURE. i loved too many. and i wanted to post them all. but this will have to do for now. and maybe after i show your gallery to your dear mother, i will post more for all the world to see. thanks for being two of the loveliest children i can imagine (or maybe i should be thanking your mother). i had such a great time with you on saturday. although i wish i could have eaten those chocolate eggs WITH you instead of saying good-bye.

so these cool people came from midway, to my neck of the woods (temporarily provo) for their session. they were fresh off a spring break cruise (yes this brave father took three kids on a cruise by himself, whoa!), and looked AWESOME.  although little miss emily was not at all about having her picture taken, she was all about being my friend, which in the end people is WAYYYY more important. with every family i meet, i feel a little sad when we part. i feel like i get an hour or so to pick up on their family vibe, so to speak, to find out what they're really about, and to try and capture that with my camera. what i find is unique and special in every family. then its see you later (maybe, maybe not). and my heart feels sort of heavy about it. what can i say, i attach easily like the puppy that follows you home. i guess its a good thing these guys don't live in provo, afterall.

shhhhh...don't tell anyone these two aren't really engaged. b(rett) happens to be my brother. and he happens to know a fun girl named a(ndrea). both happen to be supportive of me building my engagement/wedding porfolio. i can't thank you guys enough. more of these two sort of lovebirds tomorrow.
