n e w | boise newborn photographer

we don't see too many of these tiny ones over here in yan land do we? well, that's about to c-h to the ange, CHANGE. i got to photograph baby rowan at his home in the north end. i think he liked me because he only peed on me once. and he did the same thing to his mom too, so obviously its something he reserves for the people he holds most dear.

do i have to say he is adorable?

need I mention his perfection?

dare I address his fresh, new, and  awe-inducing presence?

nawww, but i just did. and now you get to SEE for yourselves. its the magic of photography after all.

i sorta wish this family could be reincarnated and come back to all my sessions as other families.

introducing miss glitterhips...|boise photographer

well normally, i like to keep things on this blog family friendly, you know, disney style and all. but i was asked to participate in the beta testing of some new textures (pardon me laymen readers, as this is "photog talk.").  the textures are affiliated with a little group called TOTALLY RAD ACTIONS. That's right, T      R      A     , eveh hoid of dem?  miss andrea roberts of andrea roberts photography was selected to beta test the new textures, and graciously invited me to contribute one of my images for the test! cool! wait, what's that? you're only reading this post because it had glitterhips in the title and hinted less than family friendly content? well, i'm getting to it. the name of this new set of actions is "dirty pictures." andrea roberts won the opportunity to beta test them because she entered and won a contest to see who could come up with the best stripper name (ahhhhh, i'm blushing...strippers and dirty pictures, lets just say are NOT part of my daily routine).

That name was Roxie Glitterhips.

The texture used on my image is named Maxi Mercer. I don't know what that means, and I don't think I want to. Consider me prime material for prank calls from Bart Simpson.

What I REALLY want to tell you, is that if you want to see a BUNCH of super rad pictures with TOTALLY RAD textures worked into them, just go ahead and click that andrea roberts link. I think one of the main benefits of using textures in one's images is the depth and interest they add to a photo. now back to wedding week!!!!

THIS WEEK AT YAN PHOTOGRAPHY....

i just licked my finger and stuck it in the air, and you know what i felt? CHANGE. that's right. its in the wind, its in the rain, its in my HEAD. first on the change agenda is something you may have already noticed: yan weddings. they. are. happening. wellll,,,,,,sort of. the last wedding i posted just below was a yan wedding. but the OTHER weddings you're going to see this week,

well, these ones are not mine, exactly. or at all.

basically i've been privileged to second shoot with some of my favorite boise photogs (check out the amazing gifted cyndee of ashki photography and the fabulously talented jayme, of lucid design), as they're second in command. also known as second shooter, but i figure i sound more fierce when i put it the former way. what it means is i am not the primary photographer AT ALL but i get to happily shoot shoot shoot away, and turn over my pictures to the head honcho of the day. i also get to post the images i walk away with on my blog.

neat.

so that's what i'm gonna do. THIS WEEK. but how did it get to be wednesday already? sigh. well, you know what they say, wednesday wedding day. oh come on, 5th graders do too say that. they do still, don't they? (echo, echo, echo.....) =)
